Toolbar and icon menu in Midas Civil

Click select single

Select single allows to select single or unselect single.

Click unselect all to unselect all node and element displayed.

to select all element and nodes means all the model.

click on unselect all

choose from identity link

select beam type element, and click add.

all beam type element will be selected.

Message window in Midas civil

you can see error in message window.

one can change material properties in construction stage.

message window rectify any common mistake by popping up.

status bar show all information related to coordinate system.

user coordinate system and global coordinate system is displayed.

unit system conversion- one can change unit anytime while working through the model.

than is filtering

In midas civil z represent global y direction.

click select all

element in z direction will be selected.

Table Window - Midas Civil

It display all types of data entry, analysis and design results in the spread sheet format.

Example double click section under the table tab.

All define section will be listed in tabular form. you can directly edit the value of section by re entering input parameter.

Similarly analysis result can be seen in tabular format in post processing section.

Click on results

Click on result tables

choose any of required result beam - force

Choose the load case - ok

List of analysis result in tabular format.

Right click anywhere on table.

Click on export to excel

save the file.

Afterward you can open excel file from saved location.

Similarly sorting is allowed in table window. right click on anywhere on table. and choose sorting dialog.

example if we want to sort moment y in ascending order. click moment y.

click greater than icon

Click Asc moment y. Here Asc stand for ascending order.

Click up to move moment

click sort and closed table is now sorted.

Model Menu in Midas civil

Model window is nothing but working window deals with modelling, display analysis and design results by means of GUI (graphic user interface). You can add new window by clicking on view.

The model window can presents several windows simultaneously on the screen. Click on window tile to arrange the multiple windows either horizontal, vertical or cascade.

Click hidden icon, to toggle between center line view and solid view. the model can also be seen rendered to do same click on rendered icon.

Context menu in Midas Civil

Context menu is to reduce motion of the mouse. Quick way for navigation to various modelling related function by reducing time. Simply right click on model window, you will get context menu.
